Hanging Bridge in Dharan is less a conventional café and more a relaxed local spot where people come to enjoy the breeze and casual company around the iconic pedestrian bridge on Devi Marg. While primarily known as an open-air hangout point, the area just across the bridge hosts a handful of small family-run eateries—not your typical polished cafés but rather mom-and-pop style restaurants that offer affordable, homey dishes.

Visitors tend to come in groups, whether catching up with friends or spending easy evenings with someone special. The rhythm of the place is gently set by a mix of Nepali and Hindi music playing quietly in the background, creating a familiar, laid-back ambiance that feels like a bridge between the city’s everyday pulse and a moment of pause. The cool breeze from the nearby hills adds to this natural outdoor vibe, making late afternoons and early evenings especially pleasant times to stop by.

Hanging Bridge suits those who appreciate informal gatherings without the fuss of formal dining or a bustling café scene. It’s a spot that locals use to unwind with simple tasty eats and the feeling of open space—perfect for anyone wanting a breezy, down-to-earth break in Dharan’s town center.

Cool and lovely place to hangout with guys as well as your special ones. The restaurants ( I prefer to tell them Mom and Pop restaurants as they are run by family people themselves without hiring professional chefs) on the other side of the bridge serve cheap and tasty foods and the cool breeze there is amazing. They played very pleasant Nepali and Hindi Music for making the environment warm and more lovely. I wish to get here often.
